From Foster Care to World Champion Teen.

From Foster Care to World Champion Teen.

Some champions aren’t “born into it.” They fight their way there.
Simone Biles spent part of her childhood in foster care before being adopted by her grandparents. As a kid, she was diagnosed with ADHD and struggled to sit still and “fit in” at school.
But in the gym, that same energy turned into something else: power.
At 14, she left public school to be homeschooled so she could train 6–8 hours a day. At 16, in a big meet, she fell on beam AND floor. Commentators questioned if she was “mentally strong enough” for the pressure.
Most people would have folded.
Instead, Simone worked with a sports psychologist, learned to block out the noise, and came back just three weeks later to win the USA National Championship all‑around. Then she went to Worlds and became World All‑Around Champion at only 16 years old.
Foster care. ADHD. Public doubt. And still: world’s best.
